Meditation Classes 6 week Course  November 5th - Mixed Levels

MEDITATION - 6 WEEK COURSE

Level 1 - Learn to Meditate   

The  beginners Meditation Classes at Ballincollig Essential Wellness are suitable for beginners.  The practice begins with  laying down in a comfortable position with pillows, bolsters and blankets. From here the class is guided through many different healing and Meditation techniques for personal growth and insight. Over the course  you will begin to progress to a seated form of practice. This will happen slowly and gradually. After the 6 week beginner program you can repeat or move into the intermediate Level 2 classes 

Level 2 Deepen Your Practice              

The  intermediate Meditation Classes at Ballincollig Essential Wellness are suitable for those who have done the 6 week beginners program and for those with previous experience.  The classes are held in a calm space helping you to settle into your practice easily. The practice begins  laying down in a comfortable position with pillows, bolsters and blankets. From here the class is guided through many different healing and Meditation techniques for personal growth and insight. The class continues with a seated form of Meditation. This will help you to engage in a more aware practice. 

It is my first time at the classes, what should I expect?
Arrive 5 minutes before the class begins to give yourself time to get setup for your class.When you arrive at the classes, you can remove your shoes upon entering and place at the left hand side of the door. We adhere to a noble silence before the class so that everyone can reap the benefits of the stillness and silence.

There will be yoga mats spread out and you can go to any of these. Lay down keeping conversation to a minimum and make yourself comfortable while you wait for class to begin. You will have a pillow , a blanket, a bolster for under your knees and an eye pillow to block out light and keep you internal during the laying down Meditations.

What should I wear?
Wear anything that is comfortable seated and laying down. We provide everything but if you feel you need extra blankets and a bottle of water you can bring those along.


Class etiquette                                                                                             

1. Mobile phones should be on airplane mode or off entirely.           2. Arrive 5 minutes early only to allow time to settle and get yourself situated before class begins.  

3. Being on time is important so that we are able to schedule class on time at the centre, it is also a sign of respect for your fellow learners and teachers.
